History

In the late 1800s, with the rising interest in scrapbooks, agencies commenced selling blank scrapbook albums and glue. Mark Twain, more broadly regarded as a creator than an inventor, created and patented a self-pasting scrapbook in 1872. A Scrapbook produced and sold by Mark Twain from the late 1800s.

Description

Scrapbooking is a technique of preserving, presenting, and arranging private and household records in the structure of a book, box, or card. Typical memorabilia include photographs, printed media, and artwork. Scrapbook albums are often decorated and frequently contain large journaling or written descriptions.
